About this site

Independent, practical guides to business travel in China — written by someone who works in the country's export sector and hosts overseas buyers regularly.

Who writes this

[Replace this paragraph with your own short bio: how many years you have worked in China's foreign trade sector, which cities you are based in or work across, how often you host overseas visitors, and what kind of trips you have organised (factory visits, trade fairs, multi-city itineraries).]

Example: "I have spent [X] years in China's export sector, based in [city], and host overseas buyers regularly — factory visits, trade fairs, and the paperwork in between. I built this site because the practical side of getting a business trip to work is badly documented in English, and most of what exists is written for tourists."

Editorial rules

What this site will always do
  • Explain how things work, based on official rules and first-hand experience
  • Link to official sources so you can verify everything yourself
  • Date every guide and update it when the rules change
  • Cover the trip logistics: entry, arrival, money, language, venues
What this site will never do
  • Recommend or rank suppliers, factories or trading companies
  • Take commission, listing fees or referral payments from any service provider
  • Process visas, invitation letters or any kind of application on your behalf
  • Sell consultancy, sourcing services or "done for you" packages
  • Run display advertising that could influence what we write

That boundary is deliberate. A guide that takes money from service providers cannot tell you honestly which ones are worth your time — so this one takes money from nobody.

How information is sourced

How often it's updated

Guides are reviewed at least once a year, and immediately when a policy changes. The highest-risk items — visa-free lists, transit rules and fair dates — are checked ahead of each peak season (spring and autumn fair season, and around year-end policy renewals). Each page carries a "last reviewed" date so you can judge for yourself.
